Deagostini Inox was founded in 1946 in Quarna Sotto by Umberto Deagostini. Initially known by the name “IDEA,” it was devoted to the production of toe-puffs made of ferrous materials in order to keep clogs and shoes intact. With the advent of tinplate it began to produce the first graters with wooden handles, until, in the mid-1950s, it became one of the first Italian manufacturers of household items for homes, wedding lists, bars and hotels.<\/p>\n

In 1958 Umberto’s son Sandro joined his father in running the family business. Increased production made it essential to open a second factory in Omegna, on Lake Orta, and in the 1980s, economic growth made it necessary to move to a larger facility that could accommodate workers and machinery. The 1990s marked the beginning of the production of equipment aimed at setting up the breakfast buffet. Among the first companies to supply these tools, Deagostini participated in the birth of the breakfast buffet service, which was then well-established especially at international luxury establishments. <\/p>\n

In 2005 the company embarked on the path of producing Live Cooking Stations, which have now become a substantial component of the company’s mission. In 2009 Andrea, Sandro’s son, joined the company’s management, thus bringing Deagostini to its third generation, which combined with the link between design culture and quality of materials, exalts “Made in Italy” in a universal dimension. To date, the company counts collaborations with prestigious structures at the international level. <\/p>\n
